Seeing ourselves through play.
Hello, my name is Melanie, and I have founded Culzzles, LLC with my then 11-year-old son in 2021. I am a black woman and a mother, and I observed a lack of diversity in games and toys available on the market today. We wanted to change that. That's how Culzzles was born. I started my company to bring more cultural diversity to families through puzzles, toys, games, and educational materials. Our company's name combines two words, CULtural and puZZLES.
I plan to offer three lines:
- Culzzles for Kids
- Culzzles for Teens
- Culzzles for Adults
Our first products are in the Culzzles for Kids line, focusing on young kids who are learning basics like the alphabet and counting. We want the kids to see themselves as they learn and play. Kids feel excitement and pride when they can connect to the images on cards and puzzles personally. Additionally, all our products are designed for kinesthetic learners who need to move while playing.
Our goal is to celebrate cultural diversity through puzzles and other products teens and adults can enjoy. We plan to create puzzles with paintings created by culturally diverse artists.
